Legal Guarantee
EU consumer legal guarantee notice, defect remedies, and commercial guarantee separation.
Minimum two-year legal guarantee notice
Every product sold by [TRADING NAME] is covered by the statutory legal guarantee of conformity required under Greek Consumer Protection Law 2251/1994 and EU Directive 2011/83/EU, as implemented through the goods-sale rules transposing Directive (EU) 2019/771. This guarantee runs for a minimum of two years from the date the goods are delivered to you and applies regardless of any manufacturer or brand warranty. If a defect that was present at delivery appears within the first year, it is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery unless we prove otherwise; for defects appearing later in the two-year period, you will need to show the defect relates to the condition of the goods at delivery.
Defect reporting route and remedy order
To report a defective, damaged, or non-conforming item, contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] or [SUPPORT PHONE] during [SUPPORT HOURS], quoting your Shopify order number and a description of the problem, ideally with photos.
Under the legal guarantee, remedies apply in the following order.
- First, you may request repair or replacement, free of charge, and you may choose between the two unless your choice is impossible or disproportionately costly for us.
- If repair or replacement is not possible, is not completed within a reasonable time, or causes significant inconvenience, you may instead request a price reduction or termination of the contract with a refund.
- Termination is not available for very minor defects.
We aim to acknowledge every guarantee claim promptly and to confirm the applicable remedy in writing.
Commercial guarantees separate from statutory rights
Some products may also come with an additional commercial guarantee from the manufacturer or brand, described on the packaging or accompanying materials. Any such commercial guarantee is offered on top of, and does not replace or limit, your statutory two-year legal guarantee rights described above. If a commercial guarantee's terms are less favorable than the statutory guarantee, the statutory guarantee still applies in full.
Shopify order evidence and support workflow
All orders placed through the store are processed and recorded by our Shopify-hosted checkout, which is the trader's payment and order system of record. Your order confirmation email and the order history associated with your Shopify account serve as proof of purchase for any legal guarantee claim, so please keep them accessible. When you contact [SUPPORT EMAIL], include your order number so we can verify the purchase directly in our order records. If a physical return of the item is needed to assess or resolve the claim, we will confirm this and provide the return address, [RETURN ADDRESS], along with instructions before you ship anything back.
